The bandits kidnap six in the Kaduna community


The bandits kidnapped six residents of Hayin Gizo, a suburb of Garun Kurama in the area of ​​the local government of Lere in the state of Kaduna, during a late night on Sunday.

According to reports, the armed attackers stormed the community around one and a half and operated until 3:00 am, robbing six people: five men and a woman.

According to a local source that spoke anonymously, the woman was subsequently released due to her bad health.

Among the kidnapped victims are two Igbo traders known in the area, while the rest is said to be local farmers.

The source invited the safety agencies and the people interested in acting rapidly to ensure the safe release of the victims, underlining that their families are too poor to pay the redemption.

Lere and several other areas of the local government in the south of Kaduna – including Kauru, Kachia, Zango Kataf and Jema’a – have seen a recent peak of kidnappings and armed attacks, raising concerns about the worsening of insurgent in the region.
