The President, ethical of the Senate Committee. Public privileges and petitions, Senator Neda IMASUEN, said that the bill of the federal law of the medical centers (FMCS) (amendment), 2025, includes the importance of the nation’s health reform.

IMASUEN who is sponsoring the law on the Senate modification, he said that the bill aims to strengthen the operational framework of the FMC, improve the provision of services and make health care more accessible to rural and sub -childhood communities.

The Senator of the Labor Party (LP) which also represents the Senatorial District of the South of Edo, has also declared that the popular interest remains the key driver of his agenda at the National Assembly.

He revealed it as he outlines a series of movements and invoices that he introduced to the Senate to face the issues of insecurity, education and health care that affect his voters and Nigerians in general.

IMASUEN said he has also sponsored the bill of the Federal College of Education, Abudu (Establishment), 2024, which according to him is aimed at establishing a tertiary institution dedicated to the formation of qualified teachers in the Edo State.

He observed: “The proposed college would increase the quality of education in the region, will support economic growth through the creation of jobs and would have faced the chronic lack of trained teaching staff”.

On recent violent attacks in some parts of Edo South, the senator said that the renewed assaults on the Columbo and Maridoti Gbelamoten field in Ovia Southwest and Siluko Ward in Ovia Northeast, caused deaths, movements of the residents and interruption of agricultural activities. “

He urged the federal government to strengthen security in affected areas, investigate the causes of violence and implement long -term security measures to restore trust.
