The coalition led by Atiku against Tinubu wasted time-fayose

A former Governor of the State Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, on Friday rejected the coalition of the political party’s political party ahead of the 2027 general election as a waste of time.

Some opposition elements led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar formed a coalition last month in an effort to defeat the President of the Tinubu Bola in the next general election.

Also in the group was the presidential candidate of the Labor Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, former Governor of the State Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, and other disadvantaged people at the Congress of All Progressive (APC).

El-Rufai discovered APC for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) last month.

Fayose, who appeared in the television program of the channel, Politics Today, said the coalition would fail because the Governor of PDP who struggled for their own political survival was not with Atiku.

He said that most of the governors were elected on the party platform -the opposition party preferred Tinubu over the former vice president for their survival.

He noted that no prominent Nigeria was part of the coalition arrangement.

The former governor swore that he would work against Atiku again in the 2027 election.

He said: “Their coalition is a dead horse AB Initio. Tell me a positive person, a respected Nigerian person who has given his voice to support this coalition.

“If there is a fight from the problem with his party, he can solve it with his party. The actions and statements of the Governor (PDP) in Ibadan are telling Atiku that we are not with you, we will not go anywhere, we have our own identity.

“So, the coalition is only in the imagination of those who try to carry it. So, let me tell you, it is a waste of time.

“I openly work against Atiku, and I say for the second time, if Atiku comes again, I will work against it. This is the time to learn our lessons.

“After eight years of a northern person, the replacement of a southern person who can involve a person from the east, southwest or south-south.

“Those who give or are categorized back to the north cause all these problems.

“You don’t have to like Wike Nyesom or Peter Obi, but there must be an unwritten and respected man’s understanding of the shift in power.”
