Judge James Omotosho from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, postponed the trial of Ali Bello, the nephew of the former Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, because of the alleged money laundering until May 23.
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) charged Bello, who is currently the Chief of Staff of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, along with a Suleiman Dauda because of alleged money up to N10 billion.
But the defendants claimed to be innocent for the accusation.
The judge postponed the problem after taking the testimony of two prosecutors witnesses, who were identified as bank officials.
At the continued trial, EFCC’s adviser, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), told the court that the 12th prosecution witness (PW-12), Olomotane Edoro, was in court to give evidence.

But Bello’s lawyer, Abubakar Aliyu, told the judge that he was not ready to take witnesses.
He said the witness who tried to be called was an expert witness who would apply for a flash drive containing more than 5000 pages, which was presented to him the previous day.
“That (document) was printed this morning, and when I discussed with my student brother, I needed someone to get through it. So I will need more time, my Lord,” he added.
Oyedepo stated that the witness wanted to question the device.
“The person who will talk about it is an investigator. What witnesses need to do is the tender. I discuss with my students’ brothers and sisters that we will not talk about the content.
“Investigators will come and talk about it. We can do that to receive it,” he said.
Aliyu answered that his explanation was not about the contents of the evidence, but about his need to seek advice.
