The court rejected the Kachikwu Moti over the ADC national leadership led by Markus

Judge James Omotosho from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, refused to hear the application proposed by the Chief of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachiku, against the National Work Committee (NWC) of the party led by the former Senate President, David Mark.

Kachikwu, ADC presidential candidate in the 2023 election, in the lawsuit asked the court to force the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) to withdraw the publication of Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as the National Party Chairperson and Secretary while waiting for the determination of the lawsuit.

Inec Baru -New recognizes Mark and Aregbeesola as National Chair and National Secretary of ADC.

Kachikwu and others, on July 7, submitted a summons from challenging the appointment and declaration of the two men as national chairman and party secretary.

The others in the lawsuit were Elias’s younger siblings, Etimbuk Umoh, Muhammame Khala, Alaku, and Godwin William.

Inec, ADC, Head of Ralph Nwosu, Mark, and Aregbesola are respondents.

The judge, however, refused to hear the motion, was marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1331/2025, submitted by Dayo Akinlaja (San), on behalf of Kachikwu.

“I didn’t take interrupted problems.”

Conversely, Judge Omotosho argues that all processes submitted by the parties, including the initial objection of defense, will be taken together with a substantive suit.

All Akinlaja’s efforts to hear the application were rejected by the judge.

He postponed this problem until October 23 for the trial.
