Judge Hannah Ajayi from the Kawara State High Court, Ilorin, on Thursday, punished an Islamic cleric, Abdulrahman Bello, to death by hanging over the killing of a last year student from the State Education College, Ilorin, Hafsat Lawal.
The judge, however, issued and released Ahmed Abdulwasiu, Suleiman Muhydeen, Jamiu Uthman and Abdulrahman Jamiu from the accusation of the murder.
Ajayi, who described the violations committed by the main suspect as the highest human crime rate and cruel action, argued that his defense in court showed that he had the intention to kill victims for money -producing rituals.
He also believes that the recognition of love for the victim by the main suspect, as said in his advisor, is a lie made to deceive the court.
The judge also said the attitude of the convict after committing a crime and before his arrest by law enforcement officers showed that it might not be the first time involved in the action.
He also held a video and written evidence taken by the State Service Department (DSS) and police officers from prisoners who had been obeyed by state law.

The judge said that the convicted person did not show himself as a witness to the truth, “added that everything he said to deny the accusations against him was a reflection.”
He showed that a book containing the secret of charm producing money was found in his apartment.
Judge Ajayi advised community members to be aware of the bad influences of social media.
“The victim will live if he tells his family members, friends or relatives of his movements or visits to male friends he met on Facebook before he was killed,” the judge said.
Bello was charged by the state government for rape, a violation that could be punished based on part 283 of the Criminal Code Cap P4, Kwara Law.
