The cycle of Zamfara bangs the governor Lawal for attacks of persistent bandits

Zamfara’s cycle criticized the governor Dauda Lawal Osa on what describes how persistent insecurity and worsening in Zamfara’s state.

In a declaration signed by its president, Suleiman Isa Namoda, the group expressed frustration for the inability of the state government to curb the bandits scourge, despite repeated insurance companies.

Namoda said that the crisis left the communities grasped by fear and despair while the heavily armed bands continue to work without control.

The declaration states in part: “In recent weeks, Zamfara has witnessed an increase in coordinated attacks, leading to the kidnapping of dozens of residents, the killing of many others and the destruction of the means of subsistence.

“A few days ago, the bandits invaded the village of Banga in the area of the local government of Kaura Namoda, abducting more than 50 people, including women and children, and forcing many others to escape.

“The residents of Jimrawa and Kwarin Ganuwa have faced repeated assaults, unable to return to their farms or sleep in peace of night.

“Reports also indicate that parts of local councils of soups and Anka saw new kidnappings, with victims still in captivity and families left to negotiate redemption payments without the government’s help.”

The Zamfara cycle also observed that, despite the scale of violence, there has not been a significant improvement in state security architecture.

“The critical areas remain without an adequate military or police presence, leaving local vigilants scarcely equipped to face well -armed criminals.

“The people of Zamfara deserves more of the empty promises: they deserve a decisive and sustained leadership that gives priority to their security”, reads the declaration.

The group invited governor Lawal to review and strengthen safety strategies, collaborate with federal security agencies and distribute well -equipped forces in high -risk areas.

“Something less would be a betrayal of the trust placed in him by the people,” added Namoda.

The Zamfara cycle has committed itself to continuing to support residents in their request for peace, justice and lasting security.
