He observed that he was a new dawn also for the realization of the much desired state of anioma.
According to him, with the defection of the governor Delta at the APC, a significant chapter of the political history of our nation is rewritten.
βThis moment is not just a matter of moving the alliances, but it is the bold possibilities now at hand.
βFor the first time for decades, we have a real possibility of renovating the federal units of Nigeria through constitutionally sustained reforms that serve justice, equity and true federalism.
βNow it is for you to climb in this historical moment. The past must not be brought to the future.
“The old habits, the old policy and the old agreements that led to the gradual decline of the PDP in the Delta must be left behind.”
He said that Oborevwori, as governor who guides the accusation between the five governors of the PDP who now align with the APC, has entered a re-deergified and concentrated party.
According to him, this is a party that has started to lay the foundations for daring constitutional amendments, head that is the creation of two new vital states; Anioma and new delta.
“Let me remember, this agenda has been declared an agreement made by the leadership of the party long before your defection, a testimony of the commitment of the APC to correct historical imbalances and put an end to regional marginalization.
βYour defection must not be symbolic, it must be transformative.
“This is your opportunity to embrace a new sense of purpose and demonstrate a renewed dedication to progressive governance, equity and inclusive development. It is time to correct the wrongs of the past.”
The legislator added that the creation of Anioma State would finally give voice, identity and institutional power to the aspirations of Delta North.
He said that the new proposed delta will turn to the communities, will bring the government closer to the people and unlock new paths for economic growth.
βFor the first time, the APC is armed with the numbers to change the Constitution. This time, we can fulfill these promises without requesting painful compromises from the South.
βWe are not pressing from a place of weakness, we are firmly stopping in a position of strength.
“These changes are more than politicians. They are economic needs. They concern focused governance, the best infrastructure, the increase in federal allocation and basic democracy.
“Two new states will mean two new development engines,” he said.
Nwoko observed that the realignment must mean responsibility.
“This is the golden hour for the South, and in particular for Delta. Your transition to the APC must be anchored to the vision. It embraces the progressive agenda of the party.
“Lead the accusation of constitutional reform. He leaves the policy of survival behind and enters the politics of inheritance,” he added.
Nwoko said that governors have aligned themselves with the president and the agenda of renewed hope would guarantee that a new delta and anioma will not be left behind.
Added that the state would also benefit from the vast opportunities available in the center
