The defense headquarters announces the explosion of bombs in the Dicon factory

Kaduna (Core Reporter) The Defense headquarters has announced the explosion of bombs that occurred in the Kaduna structure of Defense Industrial Corperation of Nigeria (Dicon) in the early hours of Sunday 20 September 2025.

This was contained in a declaration by the Director of Defense of Information, the Brigadier General Tukur Gusau on Sunday 20 September.

The declaration states Binnparts: “The headquarters of the defense (DHQ) regrets deeply to inform the public of an explosion of devices that occurred in the industrial structure of the defense of Nigeria (dicon) the Kaduna structure on the morning of September 20, 2025. The accident tragically entailed a fatality and injury to other staff.

“Preliminary relationships indicate that the explosion took place while the specialists were concluding the destruction of the remaining quantities of expired materials, including ammonia nitrates, primer hoods, propellers and other dangerous substances.

“The wounded staff are currently receiving medical treatment at the Nigerian Army Hospital Kaduna. Consequently, the head of the defense staff Gen Christopher Gwabin Musa has extended the condolences to the families and friends of the deceased and wants a rapid recovery for the injured,” said the declaration.

Basic journalists report that the DHQ has ensured to the public that the situation is under control and that there is no reason for concern. “The surrounding community has been reassured that Dicon maintains severe operational security standards. The industry remains committed to supporting the security protocols and will lead an in -depth investigation to prevent future accidents.”
