A series of earthquakes, the strongest with the amount of 6.2, has shook Istanbul, Türkiye.
The National Disaster Agency, Afad, reported on Wednesday.
Initially there were no direct reports of damage because the epicentres were located at various points in the Marmara Sea nearby.
Residents, however, left their homes and apartments following vibrations, which were clearly felt in the city center.

Experts believe that a large earthquake is too late in the city of 16 million people.
The Minister of Environment and Turkish City Planning, Murat Kurum, said 1.5 million housing and commercial units were considered at risk of experiencing earthquake damage.
