The flight delay will continue if the safety demands it, Air Peace Replies NCAA

In the midst of increased concerns over late flight and cancellations, Nigerian Airline Air Peace has maintained its operational decisions, which states that all disturbances are made with safety as a top priority, not profit.

The operator response followed a strong warning issued on Friday by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), which urged airlines to increase their domestic operations after complaints from passengers and concerns over flight reliability.

Overcoming what is described as “satire” of aviation authorities that suggest that it might surpass its capacity, the peaceful air of peace firmly rejects the idea that the limitations of the fleet are behind the disturbance.

“While we understand the spirit of NCAA recommendations, we must clearly state that Air Peace has more aircraft available than currently registered for daily operations,” said the airline in an official statement. “Every delay or cancellation that we experienced has absolutely nothing to do with the lack of fleet.”

NCAA previously expressed concern for what he called “Postponement of Chronic Flights and Cancellation,” warns that all operators must harmonize their schedule with available resources and uphold the best practices of global aviation.

In response, Air Peace clarifies that it does not cancel flights arbitrarily, states that every decision is rooted in commitment to human safety.

This airline emphasizes that the decision to delay or cancel is usually triggered by factors such as weather conditions or technical assessments, which are outside the control of any operator.

“If the weather conditions, technical parameters, or operational standards do not match what is safe, we will not operate the flight,” he said.

Air Peace also challenges a wider narrative of flight regulators, insisting that the cancellation is not the result of mismanagement or ambition beyond its ability.

“We do not cancel any flights to have fun. This is not our policy to delay or cancel flights without reason, and when we do, we are often financially greater,” said the airline.

This airline concludes by reaffirizing that passenger safety remains the principle of its guidelines – even with the cost of discomfort or loss of income.

“We will never sacrifice safety for comfort, comfort, speed, or profit. And if similar situations appear again, we will make the same decision, because we are not ready to compromise safety,” he said.

Sustainable back and forth between air peace and NCAA highlights the subtle balance between supervision of regulations and operational reality, because the airline sector continues to recover from the turbulence of the Pandemic era and the increase in operational costs.
