The Foundation holds 3 km on foot to increase awareness of the boy’s condition

While part of the activities to mark the international day of the boy of the 2025 boy, a non -governmental organization, the Yargote Foundation is organizing a 3 -kilometer road walk to raise awareness of the child’s situation in society.

According to a declaration on Wednesday of the executive director and founder of the Foundation, Anna Hussini Pai, the event is part of her leading initiative, enhances the Boychild project, with the theme: “Increase young people confident and resilient for a better tomorrow”.

According to her, the event will take place on Thursday 16 May 2025, with take -off at the Millennium Park, in front of the Fountain unit, Abuja.

“The road walk aims to raise awareness of the public on the meaning of the international child’s day and to trigger vital conversations around the often neglected challenges that the boys face in today’s society.

“Questions such as high school abandonment rates, substances abuse, computer crime, the involvement of the bands and the pressure of equals continue to influence the potential of young boys throughout Nigeria, especially in underground communities,” he said.

He said the event is not only a walk but an invitation to action.

“We have to intentionally support the child just as we do the girl. The boys need assistance, encouragement and safe spaces to become responsible men, great leaders, support husbands and nutritional fathers,” he said.

He observed that the walk also acts as a platform to highlight the Empower The Boychild project, an initiative of the Yargote Foundation committed to building the self -esteem of the boys, mental well -being, emotional intelligence and leadership ability.

“The project actively involves children aged 10 and 19 through tutoring, the formation of skills, the education of emotional well -being and the construction sessions of the characters,” he said.

He invited the interested parties, government agencies, politicians, parents, guardians, school owners, community leaders and public generally to join the movement and play an active role in facing the crisis that the child faces.

“Together, we can reshape the narratives and invest in the future of the boys who will become the backbone of tomorrow’s company,” he said.
