Marshal Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has ordered the withdrawal of the patrol team immediately mentioned in this new media report due to alleged bribery.
He also ordered a comprehensive investigation and appropriate sanctions for team members.
Corps Public Education (CPEO) officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, revealed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the direction followed the report by the Premium Times, who allegedly made a mistake by several FRSC personnel.
In response, Mohammed said the corps would not tolerate all forms of corruption in his ranks.
He said: “As an organization that upholds standards at any time, we have procedures to examine indiscipline, corruption, and patrol errors.
“If proven guilty, operators will face severe disciplinary actions, including dismissal and prosecution.”
Marshal Korps also discussed part of this report, which referred to the arrest of FRSC personnel by the Independent Corruption Practice Commission (ICPC) in 2021.

According to him, the corps is fully aware that bribery and corruption are national challenges, and that does not free themselves from supervision.
“However, the corps emphasized his consistent efforts in fighting corruption, stating that he had never folded his arms in handling such cases.
“Management has adopted proactive steps to eliminate corrupt elements through comprehensive anti-corruption policies, dynamic operational strategies, and routine monitoring.
“Every staff arrested for criminal violations, including extortion, will be tried internally, apart, and submitted to the police if necessary.
“In 2021, the Corps collaborated with the State Service Department (DSS) and ICPC to launch a special operation of joint supervision, targeting the wrong personnel.
“The operation, in the first year, resulted in the arrest of more than 70 FRSC staff members in two coordinated actions.
“The Prima Facie case was determined by the personnel to serve as a prevention for others,” Mohammed added.
