A traditional garment in the state of Osun, identified as head Ajibade, was arrested by the police for presumably built a 25 -year -old man to drink a poisonous substance after accused him of having stolen two pieces of corn from his farm.
The accident took place in Ireti Ayo, a community of ISI, a state of Osun, triggered the indignation between the residents and led to a tragic turning point after the victim’s father, according to reports, died of the shock after hearing a false relationship that his son had died of poisoning.
The spokesman for the Osun State Police Command, ASP Inhabitun Ojelabi, who confirmed the arrest, said that the suspicion was arrested to Ipetu Ijesa and was transferred to the police headquarters in Osogbo for further investigations.
A short video obtained by Platform Times shows the moment when the suspicion, later confirmed as Capo Ajibade, would have forced the young man, simply identified as Ebenezer, to ingest the poisonous mixture.
In the disturbing clip, Ebenezer is seen sitting on the ground next to two pieces of corn, while a man who branched a stick and another elderly man – believed he was Ajibade – go to him.
The elderly man, in possession of a cotola and a cup containing an unidentified substance, is seen forcing Ebenezer to drink from the cup.
Ocular witnesses say that the suspicion accused Ebenezer of having stolen from his corn farm and has chosen to bring the jungle into his hands.
Speaking under the anonymity, a resident of Ireti Ayo revealed that after the boy was forced to drink the toxic liquid, the worried neighbors led him to the Wesley Guild hospital in ISI, where the doctors were able to stabilize him.
“But before the situation could be clarified,” added the resident, “someone informed the father of the boy that his son had died of poisoning. The man collapsed and died instantly from shock.”
In a telephone interview with the times of the platform, the police spokesman said:
“The suspicion, the 62 -year -old head Ajibade, captured the boy on his farm and presumably beat him before forcing him to drink a poisonous substance. Fortunately, the people around intervened and took the boy to the Wesley Guild hospital where he was resumed.
“However, the disinformation led to the death of the boy’s father to whom he was mistakenly said that his son had died. The boy is alive and stable. Currently we have suspicion in custody and investigations are underway”.
