The Katsina community held a peaceful meeting with the bandit leader sought, Garwa

People in the village of Hayin Gada, in the Fascari Regional Government in the state of Katsina, host a famous bandit leader, ISIYA KWASHEN GARWA, for a peaceful meeting in the community on Sunday.

Garwa Baru -New this was declared sought by the defense headquarters.

A security expert in the region, and Katsina, who posted news in X on Monday, said the village leaders invited Garwa for peace meetings in the hope that it would end innocent blood ablution in the community.

Makama wrote: “Garwa, originating from the village of Kamfanin Daudawa in LGA Faskari, has long been associated with murder, kidnapping and raids in all forest belts in Katsina and neighboring countries.

“Security experts describe it as part of a wider network of armed leaders who destabilize North-West and North Operations through cross-border operations, exploiting the presence of a weak country.

“Apart from his bloody records, the new posture of Garwa indicates the possibility of changes in the approach, because local leaders and security stakeholders weigh their implications from their acceptance of peace requirements.

“The reaction remains divided. While some residents see developments as an opportunity to restore peace in a long -standing community, the others question the sincerity of the Bandit leader, given the cruelty associated with the group.”
