A group known as a lawyer for the cause of Bauchi (Lawba) and the allied group has asked the Secretary of the State Government of Bauchi (SSG), General Accountant and other officials involved in money laundering and corruption accusations to resign or be deferred by Fortwith.
The call was carried out by the group when speaking to reporters in Bauchi on Tuesday, led by UK Adams ESQ. Deputy Chairperson, Lawyer for the cause of Bauchi (Lawba) & Coordinating Program Secretariat.
The group said that, “based on the seriousness of the allegations against the ssg of bauchi state, the accountant general and other officials involved in the corruption case currently pending before the honurable justice oa egwuat Officials of Bauchi State Government Shunned an earlier Invitation by the EFCC on the Matter, we call on all of them to resign or step acide from their respected offices immediately waiting for the determination of the case against them.
“After their failure to do so, the governor must immediately suspend them from the office. In the state of Edo, recently that the Attorney General and the Commissioner of the Judiciary, Samson Osagie was withdrawn from the suspension after he, together with the Chairperson of the Regional Government Services Commission, was suspended on charges of involvement in financial corruption,” he added.
Lawba stressed that, “So, the Governor of the State Bauchi has a moral task and even the law to follow. That is the only fast, subtle and fast way of this case can be achieved temporarily at the same time the image beaten where the problem dragged the state’s reputation will be adjusted positively.”
He added, “We want to add at this time that things that are lacking in this will further erode trust about the credibility, integrity and administrative position led by Bala Mohammed in connection with financial loyalty, honesty, accountability, and so on.”
The group stated that, “In other words, the ball has now been included in the court of anti-corruption agencies in connection with things that involve Bauchi’s state like other states in this country.”
Lawba then stated happiness in the fact that the appeal court sitting in JOS, the state of appeal in the appeal: Ca/19/2023 submitted an assessment on 28/03/2025 which confirmed a lower court decision with the effects previously made by the law carried out by Bala.

The group stated that, “The implication of the verdict is that the court has further cleaned the beach regarding the role, duties and responsibilities of EFCC and ICPC regarding corruption and other grafted cases towards the Bauchi country.”
Regarding the efforts and spotlights to reveal corruption cases against Bauchi state, he said that it must be duplicated that, “In a press conference we discussed this issue in Bauchi in September 2024, we condemned the selective, partial and illegal process where the Bauchi government beat former accountants, Sa’idu Abubakar Ins Abubakar.
He stated that, “This is contrary to the background of the fact that in addition to the former AG is the only public figure of many people chosen for investigation so that it makes it more like a case of selective and persecution, laws on the basis of the government have been canceled by the Bauchi division decision from the federal height.”
According to the lawba, “it is naturally concerns and disturbs all right-thining persons that that of the multitude and of course mind-boggling corruption cases play to play only the immediate Other officials or people related to the governor or his government whose names keep featuring in one case or the other? “
That emphasizes that, “What needs to be done so must be done continuously until justice is achieved. Our idea of justice on this issue is that the government at all levels always gives a satisfying account from all taxpayers, resources and other public ownership goods given to them for trust.”
In conclusion, the group stated, “We join other Nigerians who are well intended in praising the Supreme Court for their recent decisions with the effect that the Act of Information Freedom applies to federal and all states in the country including their MDA.”
That emphasized that, “For us in the struggle for a better and safer State Bauchi, we will use the true tools offered by the assessment to ensure that politicians and leaders do not accept people just like that.”
“To succeed in this effort, and as we always emphasize, the media has an important and important role to play. From how we relate to this point, we are sure that we will succeed in handling heavy tasks together,” Lawba concluded.
