The Minister of Transport, Alkali, constitutes the committee to investigate the derailment of trains

The Minister of Transport, the Senator said Ahmed Alkali, undertaken a decisive action following a derailment of the train that took place on 26 August 2025 in Jerre, while proceeding from Abuja to Kaduna.
He directed that a committee of all the interested parties was constituted to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the accident; Provide recommendations on how to prevent similar accidents in the future; and identify ways to improve the safety and effectiveness of rail transport in Nigeria.

While expresses concern about the safety of the life of passengers, the minister appointed the following members of the Committee:
