The naira fetched N3.97 to the dollar at the official window

Nigeria’s currency, the naira, appreciated against the American dollar at the official window on Thursday.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,466.65/$1, compared with N1,470.62/$1 traded on Wednesday.

This represents an appreciation of N3.97 for the local currency against the American greenback.

The Naira closed flat against the dollar and traded at N1,500/$1, the same as the previous day’s exchange rate of N1,500/$1.

The Naira gained N15 against the British Pound and traded at N2,020/£1 compared to the previous day’s rate of N2,035/£1.

The local currency closed flat against the Canadian dollar and traded at N1,200/CA$1.

The Naira rose by N5 against the Euro and traded at ₦1,750/€1 compared to the previous day’s value of ₦1,755/€1.
