Nigeria’s currency, Naira, depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window on Tuesday.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data shows that the Naira closed at N1,471.08/$1, compared to N1,470.26/$1 traded on Monday.
This represents a loss of N0.82 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The naira closed flat against the dollar to trade at N1,500/$1.
The local currency, however, gained N5 against the British pound to trade at N2,030/£1 compared to the previous day’s level of N2,035/£1.

It closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.
The naira gained N5 against the euro to trade at ₦1,735/€1 compared to previous day’s level of ₦1,740/€1.
