The Nigerian Navy has dismantled 10 illegal purification locations at Warri South Local Government Area in the Delta state.
Commander Escravos Pangkalan Operations (FOB), Navy Captain Ikenna Okoloagu, revealed this in a statement on Thursday in Warri.
He said the illegal purification site was deactivated in the Obodo Omadino community after a series of coordinated operations, guided by credible information.
The commander added that the exercise was part of the ongoing Delta Sanity II operation.
Okoloagu added that the operation that was in line with the strategic direction of the Navy Chief of Staff (CNS), Deputy Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla who emphasized sustainable pressure on the economic patient.

“Specifically, on July 1, the operators who acted on intelligence that could be followed up to dismantle three illegal purification sites at Obodo Omadino.
“These sites contain 7,200 liters of stolen crude oil and 1,575 liters of automotive gasoline oil that are illegally enhanced (then) stored in one oven, 30 resting holes and 21 sacks of plastic.
“Furthermore, on July 12, an additional site was demolished in Oteghele in Obodo Omadino, and 2,300 liters of stolen crude oil stored in five resting room holes found.
“In the follow -up operation, on July 19, another illegal purification site with an open pumping machine and dismantled in Oteghele.
“Maintaining the momentum, on July 23, the base deactivated two active illegal purification sites laden with 2,300 liters of stolen crude oil and 2,675 liters that were illegally enhanced.”
