The new president of NNPC, Eng Musa Kida, celebrates a strategic meeting with NSC for sustainable sports growth

The general director of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Hon Bukola Olopade, has expressed enthusiasm for the possible collaboration between Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC Limited and the Sports Commission.

The DG declared this after a fruitful strategic meeting held in his office when the newly appointed president of the NNPC Limited, Eng Musa Kida, made a work visit on Tuesday.

The DG said that it is an exciting moment for Nigerian sports and the meeting with the new NNPC president who is also the president of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, has opened even more opportunities that will improve the rapid growth of sports in the country.

“We cannot be more proud in the sports that we have to Eng Musa Kida occupying the position it occupies now and, as someone who is very passionate about Nigerian sports, we are already discussing areas of possible collaboration between the oil and gas institution of the country’s apex and the NSC.”

“Mr. President has given us a mandate to renew Nigerian sports and build an ecosystem that has a prosperous and sustainable economy and I have no doubt that having Eng Kida as the new limited president of NNPC is another giant step to achieve our goals,” he added.

The new NNPC president also made the emotion of the DG again, adding that the meeting was aimed at guaranteeing sustainable sporting growth under the renewed hope of the current administration.

“As president of the NBBF, I have seen the various practical changes, the current leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon Bukola Olopade, have brought sports and basketball in the country, have been enjoying their support, therefore, it is very easy for the NNPC that they are doing in what they are doing so that Nigerian sports work again” “
