President Tinubu Bola has reiterated the commitment of his government to eradicate terrorism and bandits throughout Nigeria, describing the challenge as the central pillar of his national security agenda.
Speaking during the first phase of the housing project for the victims of the bandits in the Kaduna state on Tuesday, the President, represented by the National Security Advisor (NSA), Nuhu thousand, stressed that the government would continue to prioritize the recovery of peace and security in the affected community.
“The fight against terrorism is a challenge, but discussing it remains one of the main priorities of administration at this time under our national security agenda,” Tinubu said. “Nigeria is in a safe hand, and we will restore the law and order. That is the guarantee we provide. That will be done.”
The housing project, which was executed in partnerships with the Qatar charity organization, was part of a wider federal government initiative to rehabilitate and re -establish a community destroyed by violent attacks.
President Tinubu noted that efforts to stabilize the State of Kaduna had produced results, with the community showing signs of recovery and displaced population gradually returning to their ancestral homes.
“Recovery is ongoing, and it is clear that fresh air blows through the state of Kaduna; many things change,” he said. “We wiped the tears of the victims of extreme violence. We reconciled the community. We gave everyone the room to be a part and sense of inclusion.”
The president praised the state government of the Kaduna state, the National Security Advisory Office, and the defense staff chief of staff for adopting a multi-branch approach, combining military efforts with community involvement and intelligence collection, to overcome insecurity in the region.
He described the Kaduna peace model as an example that should be praised from the development of peace through local involvement, stating that it was “intelligence and encouraged by the community, which is rooted in the understanding that sustainable peace must be cultivated, not imposed.”
Tinubu quoted the reopening of the Birnin Gwari Market and returning farmers to their land as clear evidence of progress, adding that this development indicated a new era of stability and confidence.
“This is a public declaration that Kaduna has a new face, the face of reality and rebuilding,” he said.
Speaking to the victims of the bandit directly, the President offers certainty words: “We hear you. You are a victim of extreme violence, but we are with you. Your government sees you and recognizes your pain.”
The Nigerian government has been largely criticized because it pays more attention to rehabilitation and reconciles bandits who repent than those of the victims who have been thrown and seem to be abandoned in camps for people who are neglected internally.
