Divers die while working to recover cruise ships
How is the tragedy investigated?
Now the ship returns to land, instruments such as balloons will be used to lift 72M (236ft) pole after being cut with a device that is controlled from a distance to rest on the seabed.
While the rescue worker continues the “full sweep” from the nearby seabed, the full inspection of the cruise ship will see what can be done to prevent the tragedy.
The British Maritime Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) will then issue a report on its investigation.
The Bayesian chef family Recaldo Thomas, who is among those who died, said “lessons need to be learned”.
In a statement through the law of Keystone Family Lawyer Thomas, they said that they wanted an investigation to “determine the truth about what happened” and “brought those responsible to the court”.
Simon Graves, a MAIB investigator, said that about previous investigations: “When an accident was taken ashore, we will complete the accident and we will find out all the elements that might contribute to the safety of the ship.”
Things like the “escape route” of the ship will be included in the final report, Mr. Graves added.
“After we get access to the ship, we will be able to tell a more complete picture of the activities on the ship and the order of the event.”
The British examination will see the death of Mr Lynch, Miss Lynch, Bank Morgan Stanley Jonathan Bloomer, 70, and his wife Judy, 71, all of whom are British citizens.
US lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda also died.
Fifteen people, including Mr. Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, were rescued.
