The police arrested Islamic scholars because of the alleged dirtiness of children

The police operation in Osun has arrested an Islamic cleric to identify Kadiri, for allegedly polluting a minor in the Ede area in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Abiidun Ojelabi, said in a statement on Saturday in Osogbo that the ulama was saved from angry hordes in the Babasanya-Araka area in Ede.

He said: “The problem has been reported, and we mobilize the operator to the scene. When our people arrived at the scene, the Amotekun people who arrested it handed over to us.

“So, he was already in our detention. But we want the division to investigate before this problem is transferred to SCID.

“That’s all available for now.”
