According to a declaration by the official of the public relations of command, SP Ramhan Nansel, “the state police command of Nasarawa is happy to inform the public in general of a significant operational success recorded by the officers of the Giza division in the area of the local government of Keana.
“On June 7, 2025, at about 1600 hours, the police commissioner, the State Command of Nasarawa, the CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, received a credible intelligence regarding the movement of a criminal suspicion that transported weapons and ammunition. By acting quickly on this relationship, the commissioner ordered a coordinated man to learn the suspicion.
“In accordance with these directives, the police officers of the Giza Division mounted a strategic arrest operation along the Giza-Kadarko road. During the operation, a suspicious individual riding an unregistered bajaj motorcycle was intercepted. However, after being intercepted to have been interrogated, the suspicion abandoned the motorcycle and fled from a bush nearby, was interved. from a nearby bush.
“A subsequent search for the abandoned motorcycle led to the recovery of the following elements: one (1) AK-47 rifle (violation n. 0413), two (2) magazines and forty-five (45) round of live ammunition from 7.62×39 mm”
The declaration also stated that “this recovery strongly suggests a connection with criminal activity and efforts are currently underway to stop the suspicion on the run and trace the origin and use of the weapon and recovered ammunition.
