“However, the police tactical team placed along Jalan Madaka-Makujeri intercepted most of the victims in the vehicle driven by Yusuf Abdullahi from B/Gwari who conveyed them to Yauri, to surrender them to other group members, while others were dropped in Tegina to take another vehicle to Yauri.

“However, the driver was arrested, the victims were rescued and taken to medical facilities to be considered before being reunited with their families. Investigations are ongoing with the aim of saving other victims from criminals and also arresting.

“Likewise, on July 4, 2025 around 4:30 pm, another victim consisting of five women and six children was intercepted in Agwara during an effort to cross the river to Yauri, the state of Keebi. DPO Agwara Div took prisoners from them, two magazines and sixty ammunition were immediately restored. They were moved.
