On Friday, the presidency stated that the dialogue with Miyetti’s leadership Allah Bads Breeders Association of Nigeria (Macban) had to prevent cows from wandering the streets of the city center of the nation, Abuja.
Freedomonline reports that the dialogue was held at the request of the President, the Foundation Council of Macban, Sultano di Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III and Minister of Development of livestock, Idi Maiha.
In his observation, the Senior Senior Assistant of the President for the development of cattle, Idris Abiola-Ajimobi, reiterated the commitment of the administration of President Bola Tinubu find lasting solutions to the pastoral challenges in the country.
“We are here for a meeting of the commitments of the interested parties. It is a meeting for dialogue with the interested parties of cattle to allow them to understand the effort that are made by the administration of President Tinubu.
“We are working together with the Ministry of Midness Development and other relevant agencies to deal with the causes at the root of problems.
“The problem of cattle that moves on the road of Abuja. We must first solve the problem of grading reserves, we are working on the ranch, we are working on a special industrial agro industrial processing area.
“We are also working to relaunch the British reserves, providing feed and ranch for which the pastoral care can find a safe area to be operated to leave and coexist and have all the basic social services they need.
“Such as feed, water, health system, veterinary clinics and other essential services,” said Abiola-Ajimobi.

The meeting also examined the all-inclusive efforts of the Ministry of Federal Education.
“The meeting interacted with all interested parties and leader mainly of Macban in Abuja and the surrounding states and has unanimously developed a very important resolution.
“They are ready to collaborate with the sustainable pasture solutions of the Federal Ministry of the development of cattle that educational is the key component.
“And they were ready to move to Abuja’s pasture reserves. So far, the services requested are all provided there and, of course, they concern nomadic schools, veterinary and medical clinics, electricity, water, mini dams.
“And they are all ready to key in the all-inclusive educational agenda of this administration to bring each child in functional education and learning,” he said.
For his part, the national president of Macban, Alhaji Baba Othman-Gelzarma, said that the meeting was organized to face the concerns of the cows that wander in the city center.
“And to deal with the problem of education, in particular the problem of children outside school that pastoral children are the majority.
“Out of about 20 million children outside school in Nigeria, we believe that 80 % of them belong to pastoral children.
“So, the problems of concern have been raised and addressed here. You can see the congregation, we want to make Abuja a model, we want to start practicing it here and see how it will work for us.
“You can see that we have invited all the interested parties, Macban’s leadership from the six FCT area tips and those families whose cows are wandering on the streets of the city center.
“We all invited them to here. We know what is the process that is taking them to the city and how we can stop it,” he said.
