The president of the NFF, Gusau, becomes president of Wafu B

Abuja (Core reporter) President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau on Monday took the position of the president of the West African Football Union (area B).
This was sequel to the resignation of Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the president of Ghana Football Association, who left the number one of the Wafu B number one after his elections in the executive committee of the African football confederation (CAF) two months ago.
The Wafu B headquarters in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire reported that Gusau “enjoys strong support among the members of the area to bring continuity and dynamism to the Wafu B.” area “
Gusau has been president of the NFF since 30 September 2022 and was the first vice president of Wafu B before this new elevation.

In his message of congratulations, reciting the president of FCT Swan, Mr. Victor Okoye, greeted Gusau’s new position as a well -deserved honor that reflects the high respect in which he is held through West Africa.
“Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has constantly demonstrated an intentional leadership, both at home and on the continental stage. His election is not only a personal milestone but a significant moment for Nigerian football,” Okoye observed.
“The growing trust and trust in his ability to unify, reform and raise the game throughout the region. We are proud of this result and confident that his mandate will leave a lasting legacy to Wafu B.”.
Having previously served as the first vice president of Wafu B, now he assumes the presidency following the election of the president of Ghana ago Kurt Okraku as the first vice president of the Confederation of African football (CAF). It will be expected that the rest of the Okraku mandate will complete.
