The president of the NSC Dikko declares the Fic Trampolino Int’l to judge the course closed in Abuja
President of the National Sports Commission (NSC) of Abuja (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko and General Manager Hon. The Bukola Olopade was at the Mko ABIOLA National Stadium Abuja Velodrome on Wednesday to declare the first course of the International Judge of Nigeria Fig Trampoline International. The course is certified by the Federation of International Gymnastics (Fig) in collaboration with the Nigeria Gymnastics Federation.
According to the president of the NSC, the course aligns with the sports reforms of the Commission aimed at making the nation a sporting destination.
His words: “This international course is in line with the determination of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make Nigeria a sports center globally. The sports reforms in progress aim to make the nation a sporting destination on the continent and worldwide as a whole.
“I am happy to know that there are other participants from Africa and that this is the first course of its kind in this part of the world. We hope to have more than these opportunities. Whatever we have to do to make sure that we will do it, I will do it and I believe that the benefits will fall to increase the development of sport in Nigeria.”
Hon. Olopade believes that the course would be a keystone of sports development.
He said: “We have always wanted to host courses like this and major sporting events so that our people can have the necessary ability of ability. This will help us with the right staff to facilitate the growth of sports in the country and bring them globally”.
Previously, the expert Instructor of Trampolini Christopher Lambert has observed that the course will announce the growth of the trampoline in Nigeria.
“This is the first time that some coaches and judges are in Nigeria to attend this course. I was very impressed by the work they have done in these three days. It is new here in Nigeria. This will help develop sport in Nigeria and the continent. Certainly the people we have trained in this course will help to develop sport here,” he observed.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates of participation in the participants of the President of the NSC.
