The president refused his report appointed by Hadiza Bala Usman to replace Akume as SGF

The president has denied the report that the Tinubu Bola President has appointed a special advisor to the President about policies and coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, as the new secretary of the Federation Government (SGF), replacing Senator George Akume.

A false report that quoted the presidential resources, had received an attraction on Saturday night with several media platforms that reported that Akume had been appointed as Chairman of the Congress of All Progressive (APC), to replace Abdullah Umar Ganduje who had submitted his resignation, encouraging his replacement with Usman by the President.

But in a quick reaction, a special advisor to the President about information and strategies, Bayo Onanuga, denied the trend report, describing it as fake and advised the public to ignore it.

In a press statement entitled “Akume Permanent SGF,” Onanuga said there was no change in the SGF position because the status quo remained.

“There has been no change in the noble status, Senator George Akume, as the Federation Government Secretary,” the statement said.

“The President of the Ball Ahmed Tinubu, currently in Saint Lucia, has not made a new promise.

“The information circulating about the replacement of Akume is incorrect. The damage agent makes it. The presidency advises Nigerians to ignore fake news.”
