Yomi Fabiyi lashed out at Putri, raising concerns over the justice system in the Baba Ijesha case

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has intensified his reaction to the Baba Ijesha case, accusing comedian Princess and the courts of what he described as “selective justice” after the actor was released from prison.

Olanrewaju Omiyinka James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, recently regained his freedom after serving a prison sentence for assault on a minor, a case that continues to stir public debate.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Fabiyi questioned the handling of the case, particularly the treatment of another individual, Demola, who he said was initially arrested along with Baba Ijesha but was later released without charge.

Fabiyi alleged there were inconsistencies in the investigation, claiming that Demola’s release raised concerns about a possible cover-up and selective prosecution. He also believes that important aspects of this case, including the age of the victim at the time of the incident, are not yet known for certain.

The actor further criticized what he described as parental negligence, and suggested that all parties involved in the case should be held accountable if necessary. He emphasized that justice must protect victims while ensuring transparency and fairness in the legal process.

Fabiyi’s comments add a new dimension to the ongoing controversy, reigniting discussions around the integrity of the investigation, public accountability and trust in the justice system.
