
The mega Rally Pro -Wike scheduled for Saturday 12 April in Yenagoa, was moved to Saturday 26 April 2025.
Telling to journalists in Yenagoa, the call of the new Associates group, Barr. George Turner said that the change of appointment became necessary due to the clash of events at the headquarters, which according to him had to be used by the Pro -diri and Pro -tambuwal supporters.
He underlined that the leaders and the remarkable fathers of the Ijaw nation had contacted the group to move the date on which the group joined.
However, the south-south zonal secretary of the PDP said that the new members were a basic political movement aimed at gathering the support for the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the country.
He also stated that the new members strongly believed in the agenda of renewed hope of President Bola Tinubu, underlining that the group would support him to be able to manage the business of the country.
According to him, “in light of recent developments, you will remember that several supporters of Pro-Diri and Pro-Tambuwal have issued public notices who express their intentions to keep solidarity gatherings in support of their respective leaders, opting to do it on the same date and in the same location that we have chosen for our program.
“We are inclined to allow them the right and space to keep their events as expected, creating an atmosphere that will allow the entire country to attend theirs
ability and acceptance among the people of Ijaw in the state of Bayelsa.
“As such, he will now hold our inauguration and mega rally on Saturday 26 April 2025 in Yenagoa.”
Reacting to the Democratic Party of the people, in the chapter of the State of Bayelsa and the state work committee on his suspension as a party member, he rejected the suspension as without foundation and without merit, stating that the southern area -Sud had overturned its suspension.
He also said that the judge Ekpo of the High Court Federal Abuja also confirmed his position as an authentic southern zonal secretary of the PDP.
He also noticed that he had never been served with any document of the court, adding that as a lawyer, if served, he would follow the right process of the law.
He took the opportunity of the vehicle to thank the people of Ijaw Nation for their interest and enthusiasm to be part of this mass movement aimed at freeing the state and strengthening the people.
The event, which had been planned to support the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, was also aimed at thanking President Bola Tinubu for having appointed Bayelsa’s sons and daughters in various political offices in the country.
Previously it was opposed by the state government and the high state courtyard during the week issued an ex -part order that limited the hosting of this gathering in the state.
