The police, in Cross River State, launched a manhunt for the apostle Ubong Bassey Etim for the alleged murder of his 16 -year -old daughter on the accusation of being a witch.

The accident, which took place on Saturday 15 February 2025, around 16:00 at number 7 of Jacob Street off the coast of Eyo Edem, in the area of ​​the local government of Calabar, left the neighbors shocked.

His brother, Maestro Bassey, described the police as his sister died, saying that around 16:00 he went to open the door of the room where his sister was locked up, to help her dispose of her feces.

Maestro Bassey called his father, apostle Ubong, who, entering the room, asked him to leave while he attended them. The children were shocked when, after a long time, the father called them in the room and announced that their older sister was dead.

According to his wife extraneous to Apostle Ubong, who had been blocked in a custody battle with suspicion for their three children, this was not his first act of violence.

The suspicion had previously said that the child with Down syndrome was a witch and a snake.
