The terrorists have unleashed a new wave of attacks coordinated with the communities of the state of Zamfara, quickly to several residents, looting the property and forcing the inhabitants of the village to escape from their homes in fear.
The attacks, according to which the residents occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday, spread throughout the Yan Uku community in the Garbadu department, in the local government area of Talata Mafara and extended to nearby villages, including Farin Dutse.
The eyewitnesses referred to the platform times that the terrorists hit on Tuesday evening around 20:00, who swept away a man identified as Muhammadu Lakada, his son and a neighbor, Lauwali. His son was subsequently released, but with a chilling education to return home with a phone number.
“This is the second time within a year in which my older brother is kidnapped. They took him around the same time last year. Just a few days ago, they robbed him with his clothes, shoes and hood before returning for him,” said a relative of the victim.
The residents said the criminals returned on Wednesday evening in broad daylight, making fun of Farin Dutse at about 17:00 and kidnaping more inhabitants of the village without resistance.
The sustained assault triggered the mass displacement, with dozens of families who abandon their communities for safer areas inside and outside Zamfara.
“People are leaving in large numbers. I was called by someone who said the bandits were spotted near other villages, and this means that nobody can risk sleeping in their homes tonight,” said another village.
The presence of security remains minimal when residents complain that terrorists move freely, immersing entire communities in fear.
The efforts to reach the spokesman for the Zamfara State Police Command, Yezid Abubakar, were not successful since calls and text messages had not answered at the time of submitting this relationship.
Zamfara, one of the worst strokes of bandits, has witnessed repeated kidnappings and mass movements, with the places that accuse the authorities of abandoning them to their destiny.
