The tail that destroyed from the three-storey building in the Ojodu-Berger area in Lagos had worsened, with the death toll now reached seven.
This gloomy figure follows the recovery of two additional bodies from the ruins on Monday afternoon.
Rescue efforts, which involve the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (Lasema), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Nigerian police, and other related agents, have taken place since the building, which accommodated a restaurant, suddenly destroyed on Saturday morning. Initially, five bodies had been taken from debris.

At 13:00 on Monday, the emergency team remained at the location, with difficulty working to clean the substantial debris. Critical question whether more victims remain trapped under the structure that collapsed and continued to tower.
The collapse of the suddenly and disaster buildings on Saturday resulted in direct deaths from two people, while others suffered injuries. The next days have been marked by endless rescue and recovery operations.
