The troops arrested 5 bandits suspected in Kwara

The Nigerian army on Thursday arrested five alleged bandits in the state of Kwara.

Head of the Press Secretary for the Governor of the State Kwara, Rafiu Arjakaiye, revealed this in a statement on Friday in Ilorin.

He said the suspects were arrested at an examination post along the city of stocks in the region of the Ifelodun regional government in the state with six AK-47 rifles.

CPS added that the arrest of the bandits came a day after the troops caught six people suspected of being couriers for kidnappers with large delivery of bread and gasoline around the same Babanla City in Ifelodun LGA.

He said: “Five kidnapping suspects were arrested today along the shares. They hid six AK-47 under Chacoal with Saloon’s golf car this afternoon.

“They were intercepted by the Nigerian Army team who were patrolling. The five suspects are undergoing interrogation.”
