DSS rescues kidnapped Kano local government secretary

Men of the Department of State Services (DSS) have rescued the Administrative Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area of ​​Kano State, Alhaji Hamza Durya.

Durya was abducted by armed groups at his residence in Durya Village, Kibiya LGA, on Friday night.

Kano State Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday in the state capital.

He said DSS operatives arrested two suspects in a coordinated operation to rescue the victim.

“This is a welcome development and is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our security agencies,” the statement read.
