The Nigerian army killed 11 terrorist suspects in operations carried out throughout the country.
The troops also arrested 64 suspects, rescued several kidnapped people, and recovering weapons, ammunition, and stealing livestock in operations carried out between Thursday and Friday.
The credible source at the Army headquarters in Abuja told reporters on Friday that troops frustrated the attack of Islamic countries for the West African Province (ISWAP) in northeast.
The source said the 222 battalion troops rejected threats around the Dam and confiscated weapons and ammunition.
He added that the 145 battalion troops ambushed terrorists in Kareto in the regional government of Mobbar, killing eight, and found eight AK-47 rifles and ammunition.

According to him, the 192 battalion troops intercepted terrorist logistics in the Gwoza regional government territory, while 144 battalions captured three alleged terrorist suppliers in Adamawa with smuggled goods.
“In northwest, 17 Brigade troops killed two terrorists on the Malali bridge, Katsina, recovering motorbikes, radio and telephone.
“A terrorist was neutralized in Shinkafi, Zamfara, by 1 brigade, with recovery including AK-47 rifles, livestock, and other items.
“The troops also saved the abduction victims in the states of Sokoto and Zamfara, while other victims were kidnapped in the villages of Maitsiga, Kankara, Katsina, were released,” the source added.
