Entrada Travel Group, which operates the New Zealand national bus lane, Intercity, told Sky News’ NBC Mitra Network that the incident involved one of its buses.
“The police were called to respond and were investigating this problem. Nobody was injured during the incident, and the service was continued,” the group said in a statement.
Intercity states on its website that children for up to two years can travel for free on the lap of an adult. Children are three and older children need children’s tickets and need to travel with guardians.
DCI Harrison praised the inter -city bus driver, “who pays attention to something untrue and immediately take action, preventing what can be a far worse result”.
