The witness told that the DSS court was not involved in the arrest of Kanu in Kenya

The operative of the State Service Department (DSS) identified as BBB told the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday that the agency was not involved in the arrest of the Biafra indigenous community leader (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in Kenya.

BBB, who was a witness to the 2nd prosecution (PW-2) in the trial that was taking place on the alleged betrayal and terrorism, told Judge James Omotosho during his cross-examination.

IPOB leader was brought back to the country from Kenya in June 2021.

Witnesses, when responding to questions from Kanu’s lawyer, Paul Erokoro (San), said DSS was not involved in foreign operations but matters relating to the country’s internal security.

He said: “DSS doesn’t kidnap Kanu in Kenya.

BBB said that although he did not know whether Biafra Radio had stopped broadcasting, he told the court that Kanu confirmed that he was the founder of the station.

He said security clothing was not influenced by politicians or people who were appointed politics, added that the agent was under the National Security Advisory Office (NSA).

He said the service code of ethics requires operators to always be neutral and objective.
