Third Nigerian signing: 29 -year -old Nigerian Akintola joins Semi Ajayi in Hull City

The number of Nigerian played in the English Championship team Hull City has increased to three after the firm of the former Caykur Rizespor Alero David Akintola in a two -year contract.

At the beginning of the summer, the club signed Semi Ajayi with a free contract after the expiration of its agreement in West Brom. They followed him with the signature of another Nigerian in the 26 -year -old Akinwo Fame on Wednesday from Sheffield.

The 29 -year -old, who plays predominantly to the right, has extensive experience from all of Europe, with 147 of his more than 270 senior appearances in the Turk Süper Lig.

More recently in çaykur Rizespor, the broad player contributed four goals and nine assists in 49 exits after signing in February 2024, with 36 times last season.

“It’s a dream come true. Everyone in Nigeria wants to play in England. It’s what we see growing,” he told the club’s website.

“I am ready to give everything and help the team achieve great things.”
