Tinubu appoints CEO, two Commissioners for Denrc

President Bola Tinubu appointed Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat as president/CEO of the Commission for the regulation of Nigerian electricity (DEIGN).

Engr Ramat, 39, is an electrical engineer and administrator, with a doctorate under strategic management, among other qualifications.

President Tinubu also appointed two commissioners for the Nearc, presidential adviser on information and strategies, said Bayo Onanuga in the declaration on Thursday.

I am Abubakar Yusuf, commissioner for consumer affairs and dr. Fouad Olayinki Animashun, commissioner for financial and management services.

All nominations are subject to confirmation of the Senate.

However, to avoid a leadership void in the critical regulation agency, the president directed that Engr Rmat should take on an office in acting skills pending his screening by the Senate, as stipulated by law.

President Tinubu urged the new named to use their knowledge and experience to download their functions and work assiduously to advance the vision of the administration’s power sector.
