Tinubu congratulates the Sela winner

The President of the Tinubu Soccer has congratulated his congratulations to the winners of the interim election held on Saturday, August 16, in 16 electoral districts in 12 federation states.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) to conduct elections that were mostly peaceful and free from disturbance.

According to the results stated by Inec, the Congress of all Progressive (APC) secured victory in 12 electoral districts, while the Alliance Grand All Progressive (APGA) claimed two seats. The Democratic Party (PDP) and the Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) which only won one seat.

President Tinubu also congratulated the newly elected National APC Chairperson, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, described the results as the first victory under his leadership.

“Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda has shown leadership capacity and shows what can be achieved when popular candidates are deployed and with a unit of objectives among party leaders,” the President said.

He further praised the Governor of APC, the leader of the party, and loyal to their efforts to ensure the success of the party, while convincing Nigeria for his government’s commitment to national progress.

“For all loyal APCs and voters, thank you for the trust displayed in our party. Rest assured that our new hope slogan is not a mere slogan. Our goal is a better, safer and more prosperous Nigeria. We will bring you there, with God’s grace,” said Tinubu.

The President also acknowledged the role of other political parties and their candidates, urged them to continue to uphold sportsmanship, justice, and generosity in the democratic process.
