Tinubu cries folk musician, Mike Ejeagha – Thage

President Bola Tinubu joined the mourning nation for the disappearance of Mike Ejeagha, a legendary folklorist, songwriter and musician of Igbo, who died on Friday, at the age of 95.

The president, in a declaration signed on Saturday by his special councilor on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fans of the late cultural icon.

He reflected on the remarkable contribution of Ejeagha to the conservation of Igbo culture through his music and his narrative.

“May the spirit and values ​​of the music of Gentleman Mike Ejeagha continue to remind us that music has the power to revive, heal and redirect the energy towards deserving causes that help to build our nation,” he said.

President Tinubu also praised the government of the state of Enugu, led by the governor Peter Mbah, for having honored the legend of music while he was still alive.

Praying for peace for the disappeared soul, President Tinubu asked the Almighty God to grant Mike Ejeagha and comfort to all those who cry his loss.
