Tinubu is fully involved in government – president

The presidency said on Thursday that the President of the Tinubu soccer remained fully involved in the Nigerian government even though he left in Europe.

Special advisory regarding information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated this in a statement issued in Abuja.

He reacted to the criticism that followed the ongoing president’s work visit to France.

The presidential candidate for the Labor Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, for a week urged President Tinubu to cut his visit to European countries and return home to overcome the country’s security challenges.

Onanuga said the president left Paris to London on weekends and had maintained constant communication with major government officials, watching critical national problems, including direction to security leaders to overcome threats that emerged in several parts of the country.

“The absence remains temporary and in line with the period of time communicated for about two weeks.

“The return to Abuja and the start of the tasks in Aso Villa will follow the end of the Easter holiday.

“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his government continues to function effectively under his leadership.

“We respect public concern and convince all Nigerians that governance occurs without interruption,” added Onanuga.
