Tinubu officially accepts Anyim into APC

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday formally received former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim at the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Anyim, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC alongside the party’s governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, Obinna Ogba, on July 13.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and his Ebonyi State counterpart Francis Nwifiru hand over the former PDP chieftains to President Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

In a chat with State House reporters at the end of the meeting, Anyim pledged to support the government in its efforts to steer the country out of its predicament.

He also promised to contribute his share to the growth and success of the party in the upcoming elections.
