Wednesday Bola Tinubu left Brasilia, in Brazil, for Abuja following a high-level state visit focused on strengthening Nigeria-Brazil bilateral relations.
The Nigerian news agency reports that the presidential jet took off the Brazilia international airport airport at about 12:57 (local time).
Amb. Carlos Sérgio Sobral Duarte, secretary for Africa and the Middle East and Amb Carlos José Areias Moreno Garcete, Brazil ambassador to Nigeria, were present at the airport to say goodbye to the president.
Even the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and other government officials were on the ground.
There was also an honor guard led by Col Cel Nicolas at the short starting ceremony.
Tinubu arrived in Brasilia in the early hours of Monday 25 August for his strategic diplomatic commitment.
Upon arrival, he was received with complete military honors and immediately met President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the high Brazilian officials.
The two leaders kept private discussions and supervised the signature of five understanding.
The Mou has crossed aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology and agriculture: key sectors in the Nigeria development agenda.
Tinubu also met the general manager of Brazil Securities and Exchange Commission and the advice of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc.
He praised the performance of the Nigerian market, calling him a clear sign of trust of investors in the reforms of his administration.
On the sidelines, he held further meetings aimed at deepening the Nigeria-Brazil cooperation on the market, education and innovation.
The president also met members of the Nigerian diaspora in Brazil, pushing them to actively contribute to the construction of the nation.
