Tinubu presents ₦ 1.78TR FCT budget for the National Assembly

The President of the Tinubu Bola has presented the 2025 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) budget proposal of ₦ 1.78 trillion to the National Assembly.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, read the President’s Letter at Plenary on Tuesday in Abuja.

Tinubu urged parliamentary members to track the budget trip to facilitate critical development projects in the city.

He said the budget presentation was in line with part 299 of the 1999 constitution, which empowered it to put the FCT budget in front of parliament.

The President stressed that 85% of the budget will be allocated for the ongoing project completion, while the remaining 15% will fund a new initiative.

“Part of the budget will facilitate investment in health and social welfare, increase agricultural production, and increase employment creation.

“I urge the National Assembly to provide this budget for a decent urgent attention, for the sake of accelerating development in the FCT,” the letter said.
