Tinubu Bola President on Friday promised to increase funds for the Federal University of the State to meet global standards.
He stated this in the 35th Constraction of Adeeral Federal Education University, Ondo (Afued).
Tinubu, who was represented at the event by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Obafemi Awolowo, Ile Ife, Osun, Prof. Adebayo Bamire, said his government had taken steps to improve the country’s economy.
The President added that the government was told about the challenges at the State University.
He said: “This administration is not aware of the difficulties at the university. The lack of funds to increase administrative problems is a general and eternal challenge for most tertiary institutions.
“Other challenges such as decadence of infrastructure, lack of labor, and growing insecurity of the cult brotherhood, among others, on campus.

“We take a commensurate step to overcome this challenge firmly.”
He assured Nigerians that other tertiary universities and tertiary institutions have been calculated in the government’s plan for more funds to enable them to compete with their colleagues around the world.
He said the government would overcome the problems that arose in the education college that was upgraded to the status of university.
In his words, the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said the institution had improved education in the country.
He praised the management of the university to record success despite challenges.
