Tinubu reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to unity, global peace in the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV

The Ball President Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated Nigeria’s dedication to encourage unity and peace throughout the lines of religion, racial, and continents, describing it as important for global progress and collective humanitarian welfare.

The president made this known in a message posted on Handle X Handle @officiabat after attending the official Mass of Pope Leo XIV in Rome on Sunday.

He was present at the Vatican at the Pope’s newly selected personal invitation.

“Today, in the Vatican, at the personal invitation of his holiness Pope Leo XIV, I joined the world leaders and millions of Catholics in witnessing the beginning of the new Pada,” Tinubu wrote.

The President praised the new Pope’s character and a new global message, saying, “Pope Leo Xiv’s humility, history with Nigeria, and peace message reminds us of the moral leadership that is needed by the world.”

Tinubu stressed that Nigeria, as a country based on deep faith and rich cultural diversity, remains committed to falsifying understanding throughout the global division.

“Nigeria remains committed to building a bridge across the trust, race, and continent – for peace, for progress, and for all humanity,” he said.

Concluding his message, President Tinubu said a prayer for the guidance and power of Divine for the Pope and for all those who fought for justice and compassion throughout the world.

“May God Almighty guide the Holy Father and strengthen all those who work for a more just and loving world,” he added.
